GRIID is a recognized training centre of Rehabilitation Council of India. This is the only teacher training institution in this region. GRIID is one of the oldest teacher training centre of RCI running M.Ed in special education (MR).
The Punjab University has granted affiliation to GRIID to run one year now two year M.Ed Special Education (Mental Retardation) with 10 seats from the current Academic Session 2013-2014. At present we are running 3rd batch of M.Ed Spl. Edu. (MR). Eligibility to seek admission in M.Ed special education is B.Ed Spl. Edu. (MR) with 50% marks in B.Ed S.E. (MR) course or its equivalent from a recognized university.
