GRIID is a recognized training centre of Rehabilitation Council of India. This is the only teacher training institution in this region. GRIID is one of the oldest teacher training centre of RCI running B.Ed. in special education (MR)
The Punjab University has granted affiliation to GRIID to run one year now two year B.Ed Special Education (Mental Retardation) with 30 seats from the year 2011. Eligibility to seek admission in B.Ed Spl. Edu. (MR) is graduation with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized University.
